Azerbaijan is set to introduce the national rating system "Polyhedron-Digital Radar of Azerbaijan," Shahin Aliyev, Deputy Chairman of the Innovation and Digital Development Agency under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, told an event themed "Paperless Government: Environmental Impact of Digitalization and Innovation" held in Baku as part of the "29 Climate Conversations: The Road to COP29," Report informs.
Aliyev highlighted that while several rating indices exist worldwide to evaluate countries' digitalization status and rankings, Azerbaijan aims to rank high in these reports. He emphasized the need for a more comprehensive and tailored approach to assess the country's digitalization progress, aligned with its specific needs.
"As a result, we have developed a national assessment methodology called 'Polyhedron,' an approach and measurement mechanism that fully aligns with our digital development concept. This approach encompasses three main directions and other fundamental issues," Aliyev explained.
The agency chairman said the Polyhedron system enables evaluation across nine distinct components, offering a holistic view of Azerbaijan's digital landscape. Aliyev expressed the willingness to share this methodology with other countries and organizations, adding that the platform will be presented to the public in the near future.
