Azerbaijan to launch first prototyping labs for innovative projects — Exclusive

As part of an initiative to establish an Innovation Center at Nakhchivan State University, Azerbaijan plans to open its first prototyping laboratory, Report has learned.
Rashad Khaligov, Deputy Chairman of the Innovation and Digital Development Agency (IRIA) under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, said the facility will allow students and entrepreneurs to design and test their own products.
He added that IRIA is also in talks with the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University to set up a similar laboratory aimed at fostering technology-focused startups.
"The laboratory is expected to become operational in 2025," Khaligov noted.
The opening of the Innovation Center in Nakhchivan is also scheduled for this year.
