Apple’s market share in Azerbaijan’s mobile device market drops by 24%

In May 2024, Samsung’s stake in Azerbaijan’s mobile device market stood at 28.72%, according to the latest Statcounter figures, Report informs.

This figure represents a slight decrease of 0.01 percentage points from April and a more significant drop of 10.98 percentage points year-on-year.

Xiaomi maintained its second-place position with a market share of 26.24%, which is an increase of 4.1 percentage points from April. However, this is a decrease of 1.45 percentage points when compared to the same period last year.

Less-known brands held 17.11% of the market, which is a decrease of 9.29 percentage points from April, while an increase of 11.67 percentage points year-on-year.

Apple, which ranks fourth, saw its market share decrease to 15.73%. This is a reduction of 0.37 percentage points since April and 4.91 percentage points from same period of the previous year. Notably, Apple has experienced a 24% decline in its market share over the past year.

Honor rounds out the top five with a market share of 7.28%. The brand has seen a substantial increase of 5.23 percentage points since the previous month and a 6.38 percentage points rise year-on-year.
