TABIB: Azerbaijan to involve foreign donors for bone marrow transplantation

Starting next year, foreign donors will be involved in bone marrow transplantation procedures in Azerbaijan, Vugar Gurbanov, Executive Director of the Administration of the Regional Medical Divisions (TABIB), told journalists at the briefing held at the New Clinic, Report informs
According to him, negotiations on this matter have already begun: "Even if in small numbers, beginning next year, bone marrow transplant surgeries will be carried out using donor banks from other countries. This will be a significant advancement."
Gurbanov also said that laboratories at the Bone Marrow Transplantation Center are already prepared to conduct compatibility tests.
