Some COVID patients experience unstable blood pressure, Russian immunologist, candidate of medical sciences Nikolai Kryuchkov said in an interview with URA.RU, Report informs.

"There can be pressure surges. This is not the most common symptom, headaches occur more often. Damage to blood vessels, the heart and the brain - all of these at each level can give such effects in the form of an increase in blood pressure. It's necessary to check if a person has obesity, diabetes or prediabetes. If he or she doesn’t experience any special physical or psycho-emotional stress, but has recently recovered from COVID-19, this can certainly be attributed to the consequences of coronavirus," Kryuchkov said.

The specialist noted that in order to attribute pressure surges to the consequences of coronavirus infection, it is necessary to exclude the presence of other diseases.
