Harmanci: TB no longer technical problem, there are opportunities for treatment

During the coronavirus pandemic, there was a significant reduction in the number of tuberculosis infections, said WHO Representative in Azerbaijan Hande Harmanci, Report informs.
The WHO official said that TB is no longer a technical problem, it can be analyzed for treatment:
"We now have all the options to treat TB, while we had to develop vaccines and drugs to fight COVID. We need to cooperate and pay more attention. Innovation is the key to future development, and only in this way can we move forward. It is good that the existing legislation in this area in Azerbaijan is regularly reviewed. We are ready to help if there is a need for our support."
