Former President of UNGA: “Azerbaijan successfully overcame the COVID-19 pandemic”

"Azerbaijan is one of the countries that not only successfully overcame the COVID-19 pandemic, but also helped other countries," Maria Fernanda Espinosa, the former Ecuadorian Foreign Minister, and the former President of the UN General Assembly, told Report.

"The best way to be prepared for such challenges is to strengthen and invest in the health care system. Another important point is the people’s trust in the government and vaccination,” she said.

The former Foreign Minister stressed that women played an important role in the health care system during the pandemic.
