Deputy Minister accuses companies selling baby food

The Ministry of Health has commented on the sale of baby food at state maternity homes.

Report informs that Deputy Health Minister Elsevar Agayev said one of the priorities is to promote breastfeeding for infants.

The Deputy Minister said that some companies, which sell and advertise baby food, do not properly promote this area.

Agayev advised doctors that they should pay attention to the nutrition of newborns: "Breastfeeding is always widely promoted by relevant agencies. Public and media should also participate in this propaganda campaign.”
