Azerbaijani Health Minister Teymur Musayev has commented on the possible cancellation of the COVID-19 passport requirement in the near future.
Answering a question from a Report correspondent in Shamakhi District, the minister noted that the requirement for the mandatory use of medical masks indoors will be lifted in the country from May 1, but the population should still take precautions as the pandemic continues.
Recommending the wearing of a medical mask indoors, the minister noted: "As for other restrictions, it depends on the current epidemiological situation, because the removal of all restrictions at once can lead to a sharp increase in the number of new infections with coronavirus."
"One of the main indicators is the number of hospitalized. As a result of a successful vaccination campaign and anti-epidemiological measures in the country, the situation is now stable. This is an encouraging fact, but precautions should not be neglected," Musayev said.
