Azerbaijan starting vaccination with Sputnik V jab

The vaccination process continues in Azerbaijan in accordance with the COVID-19 vaccination strategy for 2021-2022, Report informs.

Starting from today, May 18, citizens will be able to get vaccinated with the Russian-made Sputnik V jab in the Baki Saglamlig Merkezi (Baku Health Center) located at 112 Azadlig Avenue.

Every citizen who has reached the age of 18 and has no contraindications can be vaccinated. The Sputnik V vaccine has already been recognized in 65 countries around the world.

On March 11, Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov signed an order on the import of 300,000 doses of Sputnik V from Russia to Azerbaijan. After that, the country’s Ministry of Health approved the use of the Russian-made vaccine.

On May 2, Sputnik V vaccines were delivered to Azerbaijan.
