Azerbaijan imports necessary raw materials for mask production

Against the background of the COVID-19 pandemic in Azerbaijan, demand for masks and medical alcohol is increasing among the people. Operative headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers has recently said an enterprise producing medical face masks would start operating in Azerbaijan by the end of March. This decision by the state will aim to meet the need of people for masks and other necessary resources to fight against a new type of coronavirus.

"The country will resolve the problem regarding masks and medical alcohol in Azerbaijan in the coming days."

Report quotes the spokesman for the Cabinet of Ministers Ibrahim Mammadov as saying t a briefing.

According to him, the necessary raw materials for the production of masks were brought to the country last night.
