Azerbaijan confirms 65 new COVID-19 cases, vaccinates 158 people in one day

Azerbaijan recorded 65 new coronavirus cases over the past day, the Task Force under the Cabinet of Ministers told Report.

Meanwhile, 34 people recovered from the infection.

Overall, the country has reported 829,076 cases of infection, 818,672 recoveries, and 10,147 deaths. At present, 257 people are receiving treatment.

Over the past day, 1,469 tests were performed to identify new infections, and a total of 7,545,086 tests have been performed since the start of the pandemic.

At the same time, 158 people received their anti-coronavirus shots in Azerbaijan today.

The number of people who got their first jab was 53 today, while 26 people got their second dose of the vaccine. As many as 64 people got immunized with the third or further doses of a COVID vaccine. The number of those vaccinated with a booster dose after a positive result has reached 15.

To date, 13,952,081 coronavirus vaccine jabs have been administered to the population in Azerbaijan.
