Azerbaijan confirms 45 new COVID-19 cases, vaccinates 187 people in one day  

Azerbaijan has recorded 45 new coronavirus cases over the past day, the Task Force under the Cabinet of Ministers told Report.

Meanwhile, 19 people recovered from the infection, and 4 patients died.

Overall, the country has reported 828,870 cases of infection, 818,516 recoveries, and 10,142 deaths. At present, 212 people are receiving treatment.

Over the past day, 808 tests were performed to identify new infections, and a total of 7,538,679 tests have been performed since the start of the pandemic.

At the same time, 187 people received their anti-coronavirus shots in Azerbaijan today.

The number of people who got their first jab was 81 today, while 37 people got their second dose of the vaccine. As many as 61 people got immunized with the third or further doses of a COVID vaccine. The number of those vaccinated with a booster dose after a positive result has reached 8.

To date, 13,951,052 coronavirus vaccine jabs have been administered to the population in Azerbaijan.
