Regular meetings should be held between media representatives of Azerbaijan and Russia, the Spokesperson of the Foreign Affairs Ministry (MFA) of the Russian Federation, Maria Zakharova, told reporters when commenting on the round table "Russia-Azerbaijan: Topical Issues of Media Cooperation" that took place in Moscow today, Report informs.
Zakharova noted that such meetings are very important: "Direct contact and dialogue between media representatives of the two countries is necessary."
She stressed that media cooperation is also being discussed within the inter-MFA consultations between the two countries: "But without direct media communication, all this would be incomplete."
She added that such meetings should be held regularly and expressed hope that the next meeting will be held in Azerbaijan.
