XIV International Conference of Ombudsmen adopted Baku Declaration

Baku. 17 June. REPORT.AZ/ Baku Declaration of traditional XIV International Baku Conference of Ombudsmen on “Fundamental principles of Sustainable Development Goals: equality, national priorities and cooperation”has been adopted.

Report informs, declaration noted that the main condition for sustainable development is respect for human rights and freedoms and ensuring these rights and freedoms.

"Adopting this declaration, taking into account the indispensable role of the institutions of ombudsmen, the National Institutions for Human Rights in the successful and full implementation of the goals of sustainable development, we note the importance of expanding cooperation of these institutions on bilateral basis and ombudsmen within international organizations, the need for sharing information and experience, dissemination of positive experiences", - Baku Declaration says.

Thus, the XIV Baku International Ombudsman Conference has completed its work.
