World Urban Forum ends 

The closing ceremony of the 11th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF11) was held in Katowice, Poland, Report informs.

The 11th Session of the World Urban Forum was held under the motto "Transforming our Cities for a Better Urban Future."

The World Urban Forum focused on six key themes:

• Equitable urban futures
• Greener urban futures
• Innovation and technology
• Building urban resilience
• Urban planning and governance
• Future urban economy and finance

The Azerbaijani delegation led by the chairman of the State Committee on Urban Planning and Architecture of Azerbaijan, Anar Guliyev, attended the forum.

Azerbaijan's stand was displayed at the exhibition as part of the WUF, where visitors got acquainted with the devastating consequences of the Armenian occupation, as well as the construction and restoration work carried out in the liberated territories. The stand aroused great interest among visitors to the exhibition.

The Executive Director of the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN‐Habitat), Ms Maimunah Mohd Sharif, also visited the stand.

The next forum will be held in Egypt in 2024.
