As part of the 6th World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue, which began its work May 1 in Baku, a plenary session is being held on the topic “Applying soft power in the development of multilateral cooperation: building solidarity and countering division,” Report informs.
The opening speech at the session was made by Assistant Director-General for Social and Human Sciences at UNESCO Gabriela Ramos, who called on world leaders and global organizations to unite to solve global problems.
There are divisions in different societies, it is necessary to work to understand the problems others face, she said.
The moderator of the plenary session is the Chair of Intercultural Relations and a founding Director of the Centre for Trust, Peace, and Social Relations at Coventry University, UK, Professor Michael Hardy.
