UNDP Administrator: COP29 has concrete goals

The 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29) to be held in Baku has concrete goals, UNDP Administrator Achim Steiner said at the 4th panel discussion of the 11th Global Baku Forum on "Fixing the Fractured World," Report informs.

"The world is eagerly waiting for the measures we will take. Serious processes are taking place in the world. Various initiatives related to climate change are being implemented. In this regard, the COP29 to be held in Baku is also of special importance. That is, there are concrete goals set for COP29," he said.

The speaker noted that the fight against climate change is very important: "This is a globally important issue. We are witnessing a similar problem all over the world."
