UN-Habitat executive director to visit Azerbaijan

Executive Director of the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) Maimunah Mohd Sharif will visit Azerbaijan, Report informs, citing the UN Office in Azerbaijan.

Maimunah Mohd Sharif will arrive in Baku to participate in the first national urban planning forum, which will be held on October 5-6.

The first Azerbaijan National Urban Planning Forum will be held on October 5-6 in Aghdam and Baku. The primary purpose of the event is to share the international experience that contributes to sustainable development and urban regeneration, to study the Azerbaijani model of urban regeneration, as well as to establish contacts with specialists and politicians facing similar problems in different parts of the world.

The forum is organized by the State Committee for Urban Planning and Architecture of Azerbaijan, the UN Human Settlements Program and ADA University.
