The meeting between the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, and the Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, in Prague, is a step taken in the direction of peace between the two countries, which have been in conflict for a long time, Yury Kamelchuk, member of the ruling Servant of the People Party of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, told Report.
He emphasized the importance of Armenia's recognition of the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan: "I would like the issue of Armenia's recognition of Azerbaijan's territorial integrity to be implemented within the framework of the previously reached agreements."
Yuriy Kamelchuk said he hopes that people in the region will live in peace.
"I hope that the civilians living in the areas where the shootings took place and continue today will be able to live in peace. Moreover, I believe that the two states will live in peaceful conditions, establish good neighborly relations and that people who left these territories as a result of the war will return to their native homes."
