UK Ambassador James Sharp hosts reception for Press Association CEO

On 4 October 2019, UK Ambassador James Sharp hosted a reception for Clive Marshall, Chief Executive Officer of the PA Media Group, the UK's leading multimedia news agency.

According to Report, ambassador Sharp welcomed guests from Azerbaijan's media sector and highlighted the vital role of media in protecting human rights. He underlined that media freedom is one of the Foreign & Commonwealth Office's priority campaigns in 2019.

During the reception, Marshall announced the winner of the essay competition for journalists which was held jointly with the British Embassy.

During Clive Marshall's visit he also met with media experts and journalists in Azerbaijan nand also gave a lecture at ADA University for young journalists and students.
