Photos depicting the bitter truths of the First Karabakh War are showcased at an international exhibition in Lauzerte, France, Report's French office informs.

Famous Azerbaijani photographer Reza Deghati's photo exhibition Human Nature is on display at the outdoor event in the historic streets of Lauzarte, a medieval city located in the south of France.

At the exhibition organized by Lauzerte City Hall, the famous photojournalist's photo "Carelessness and Hopelessness" reflects the bitter truth of the First Karabakh War.

The photo was taken in 1997.

Mahmud had to leave his home with his family due to the war.

"One day, my house was destroyed by enemy soldiers. We had to flee" - his words written under the photo.

Mahmoud and his family found shelter in a small house on the outskirts of Baku, where oil wells are located. Two boys grow up in this family, which has experienced the pain of being refugees. The carefree laughter of Jeyhun and Tabriz does not fade away despite their bitter fate.

The exhibition includes 34 photos dedicated to human nature taken in Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, and other countries.

The event will continue until September 30.
