An important aspect of the fight against corruption is international cooperation in addressing the challenge of recovering assets from abroad, Sornchai Choowichean, representative of Thailand’s National Anti-Corruption Commission, said during the 6th plenary session of the UN’s GlobE Network (Global Operational Network of Anti-Corruption Law Enforcement Authorities) currently taking place in Baku, according to Report.
"Corruption is a major problem with complex mechanisms, such as transferring assets abroad. Therefore, cooperation in asset recovery is extremely important in the international context," he told journalists, emphasizing the significant role of the session and its value for strengthening anti-corruption collaboration.
