"OSCE is ready to support all steps taken to ensure peace in the process of resolving conflicts in the region," OSCE Secretary General Thomas Greminger said at the 26th Ministerial Council of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe, in Bratislava.
He also noted that 'OSCE efforts to resolve the Ukraine crisis may encourage the solution of other conflicts in the region.'
He added that one of the organization's major initiatives is the support of dialogue for de-escalation of political and military tension: "How can we find common solutions to the problems, if we are unwilling to interact with each other," Greminger said.
The OSCE chief also stressed the importance of revising the common values of the organization.
"Today we face new challenges that affect our security. These challenges include climate change, migration, and technological revolution, driven by digitalization. And the only way to resist it is to work together and support each other," he said.
