Сandidates for post of Council of Europe's Secretary General revealed

Baku. 10 January. REPORT.AZ/ The Council of Europe has decided on the candidates for the post of the new Secretary General.

The list included Belgium’s Foreign Minister, Didier Reynders and former Lithuanian Prime Minister Andrius Kubilius, Report informs citing the RIA Novosti.

It is noted that the deadline for the submission of candidates for the post expires today at 18.00 Strasbourg time, so it is unlikely that someone else intends to apply for it.

Currently, Norwegian Thorbjørn Jagland is serving as the Secretary General of the Council of Europe.
