Russian political scientist: Russian MFA has double standards amid Lapshin's issue

Baku. 9 February. REPORT.AZ/ Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russian Federation allow double standards in the issue of blogger Alexander Lapshin.

Report informs, Russian political scientist, historian Oleg Kuznetsov said at press conference.

"Russian Foreign Ministry has double standards, for the reason that it has not raised the issue of detention of a Russian citizen Dilgam Asgarov by Armenian side.The Ministry of Justice of Belarus faithfully fulfilled its obligations, reminding the Russian Foreign Ministry its constitutional duty - to protect citizens of their country".

"When the question is raised about Lapshin, it should also be raised about Asgarov", O. Kuznetsov said.

The political scientist said that the blogger carried out ideological propaganda on side of Armenia against Azerbaijan, "trying to mock Azerbaijan by instructions of the Armenians".

At the same time, he said attempts to politicize the issue and to drive a wedge in Russian-Azerbaijani relations: "He will be the first foreigner in the black list, who will serve his sentence for visiting the occupied territories."
