France does not comply with UN General Assembly resolutions, Marania Vaianui, adviser on foreign relations to the vice-chairman of the Tavini Huiraatira Party of French Polynesia, chief coordinator of Tavini in Punaauia, said at the conference titled "French Polynesia's right to decolonization: challenges and perspectives" held in parliament of Azerbaijan on May 30, Report informs.
Vaianui said that they have the right to determine their own destiny:
"According to the resolution, we must be free from colonialism. 193 countries should show support so that we can be free as a nation. We must have access to the wealths of the ocean today and in the future," Marania Vaianui said voicing hope that her country would gain full sovereignty.
