President of Peruvian congress: We keen to launch diplomatic mission in Azerbaijan soon

Baku. 10 January. REPORT.AZ/ Charge d'Affaires of Azerbaijan in Peru Mehdi Mammadov met with newly elected president of the congress of this country Luz Salgado Rubianes.

Report was informed in Azerbaijani Embassy in Peru, M.Mammadov congratulated Luz Salgado Rubianes on her election and wished success in future activities.

M.Mammadov provided comprehensive information to president of the congress on Azerbaijani history, region of location, social and economic reforms conducted in the country and relations with other countries. The sides discussed perspectives of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Peru in political, education, cultural and economic spheres.

President of the congress talked about operation of Azerbaijan’s diplomatic mission in Peru, as well as intention of Peruvian government to launch diplomatic mission in Azerbaijan and friendship groups functioning in parliaments of both countries.

Notably, Peruvian Congress adopted resolution on Khojaly Genocide and Armenian aggression against Azerbaijan. The resolution criticizes occupational and aggressive action of Armenia against Azerbaijan and recognizes tragedy in Khojaly as a genocide.
