The new batch of humanitarian aid sent by Azerbaijan to Ukraine is a significant support for the Ukrainian people, Ukrainian political scientist Oleksiy Voronenko told Report.
"Another initiative of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to provide assistance to Ukraine is a very positive trend," he said.
According to the political scientist, the two countries need to strengthen relations at all levels: cultural, social, and economic. He also noted the importance of exchanging experience in demining.
"Due to what is happening in Ukraine now, almost the entire economy is working to achieve a military result, victory. Therefore, any help is very valuable for us at the moment," Voronenko added.
Azerbaijan allocated $7.6 million for the purchase and supply of electrical equipment to Ukraine to provide humanitarian assistance. At the end of last year, Azerbaijan sent 45 transformers and 50 powerful generators to Ukraine. And the total amount of assistance provided at that time exceeded $17.5 million.
