Nuri Aksu: Reconstruction work in Karabakh very important

The construction and restoration work carried out in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan - Karabakh - is of great importance, Nuri Aksu, culture and publishing consultant of the International Foundation for Turkic Culture and Heritage, said at the opening ceremony of the International Conference “Livable and Sustainable Heritage Cities”, Report informs.

He said that because the world is currently experiencing many conflicts, the protection of cities and restoration work carried out in them are among the main activities of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS).

Aksu also reminded that this year the Days of the City of Shusha were held in Kazakhstan.

“We continue to work to protect the Turkic heritage. Restoration, technical and educational activities are part of our activities. We are also working on compiling a list of monuments and objects of Turkic culture, as a result it will complement the UNESCO heritage list,” he added.
