Number of Azerbaijani citizens granted asylum in France drops twice in last 4 years

The umber of Azerbaijani citizens receiving asylum in France has declined twice in the last 4 years.

French Bureau of Report informs that the asylum was given to 182 citizens in 2015 against 81 Azerbaijani citizens in 2018.

French Office for the Protection of Refugees and Stateless people (OFPRA) responded negatively to the appeals of Azerbaijani immigrants (88.4 % in 2015, 84.2 % in 2016, 82.9 % in 2017, and 88.9 % in 2018).

Thus, 182 Azerbaijani citizens in 2015 were granted Azerbaijani asylum in France, 166 in 2016, 116 in 2017, and 81 in 2018.
