Nizami Ganjavi Int’l Center: Baku can play important role in resolving Ukraine situation

Baku can play an important role in resolving the situation in Ukraine, Report informs, citing a letter of the co-chairs and board members of the Nizami Ganjavi International Center (NGIC) to President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.

“We acknowledge and appreciate the offer you have made to host representatives of Russia and Ukraine for peace discussions. Baku is a neutral venue for such discussions, having already been a platform for a meeting of top Russian and NATO generals…We fervently hope that the parties will accept this offer, and that Baku can play an important role in solving this, the biggest security crisis that Europe has faced since the end of WWII,” the letter reads.

The members of the Nizami Ganjavi International Center also called "to use every possible channel in order to stop this horrific humanitarian crisis".

“We, as members of the Nizami Ganjavi International Centre and partners, call for urgent result-oriented dialogue between Russia and Ukraine on ending hostilities immediately,” the address further reads.
