Next meeting of Azerbaijani-Swiss intergovernmental commission to be held next year

The next meeting of the Azerbaijani-Swiss Intergovernmental Economic Commission will be held in 2022, Swiss Ambassador to Azerbaijan Muriel Peneveyre said at a press conference on the new Swiss cooperation program for the South Caucasus region for 2022-2025, Report informs.

The ambassador noted that strong cooperation has been established between Azerbaijan and Switzerland, covering a number of areas. At the same time, economic cooperation mainly includes trade and investment, she said.

Peneveyre also noted the high level of cooperation in the field of education. In particular, Switzerland offers good scholarship programs for Azerbaijan, she added.

Cooperation in the field of tourism is also at a good level, she said.

The diplomat reminded that next year the two countries will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.
