Moratinos: 'I am sure that Azerbaijan will preserve all monuments in Shusha'

“Azerbaijan has liberated its territories, and people are returning to their homes. This is already the sovereign territory of Azerbaijan,” Miguel Ángel Moratinos, High Representative for the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC), told Report.

He noted that, as a result, the process that should already have taken place is being observed:

“Tomorrow I will visit Shusha, which is a part of Azerbaijan. When I spoke with President Ilham Aliyev, I said that all the monuments and religious places there should be preserved and respected. It is a part of humanity. I am sure that it will be so.”
