Latvian MP: Azerbaijan's strategic importance for Europe growing

In the currently changing world, the strategic importance of Azerbaijan for Europe in regional innovation is growing more and more, Roman Naudins, a member of the Latvian Parliament, former Minister of Environmental Protection and Regional Development of this country, told Report's Eastern European bureau.

"I think that today Azerbaijan is on the list of stable partners of Europe, from energy supply to other strategic goals. This is evidenced by the topics on the agenda of the recent European visit of President Ilham Aliyev. In the light of today's events in the context of threats to European security, the list of reliable energy partners is being revised, which indicates that the region is going through a very sensitive historical stage," Naudins said.
