Kirsti Narinen: Finland is ready to support Azerbaijan in organizing COP29

Finland is ready to contribute and provide technical assistance for the successful organization of the COP29 conference, which will be held in November 2024 in Baku, the Ambassador of Finland to Azerbaijan and other countries of the South Caucasus, Kirsti Narinen, told Report.

“First of all, I am very glad that the next COP after Dubai will be held in Baku. This means that another oil-producing country is making its contribution to the fight against climate change,” she said.

According to the diplomat, it will be interesting to see how Baku copes with hosting this event from a logistics point of view: “Because as we all know, this is a very grand event, and all countries, including Finland, will be very happy to contribute and help make it happen.”
