Baku. 6 December. REPORT.AZ/ "The delimitation of the Caspian Sea will be conducted in accordance with the norms of international law and agreements will be reached”.
Report informs, Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Khalaf Khalafov told reporters, commenting on results of the 7th meeting of foreign ministers of the Caspian littoral states in Moscow, December 5.
"The parties are working on draft agreement on military activities in the Caspian Sea, which is based on accounting for the security of all countries and preventing incidents”, Khalafov said.
He added that the bottom of the Caspian Sea will be divided into national sectors, and in this issue Azerbaijan will continue negotiations with Turkmenistan and Iran.
Notably, following the meeting, foreign ministers succeeded in actually completing preparation of text of the Convention on Legal Status of the Caspian Sea, over which work was conducted for almost 20 years.
