Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan



2018

The Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan was released from his post in line with the decree of President Ilham Aliyev dated December 13. By the decree of Azerbaijan’s Prime Minister Novruz Mammadov, Khalaf Khalafov was appointed head of the Cabinet Office staff.

1992

He headed the Legal Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1992 and Chief of Treaty and Legal Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from 1992 to 1997.

1991

He worked as the second secretary in The Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 1991-1992.

1990

He studied at the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the USSR in 1990-1991.

1983

He served as Department Chief Inspector of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in 1983-1990.

1977

He studied at the State University in Kyiv in 1977-1982.

1959

Khalaf Ali oglu Khalafov was born in Yerevan on September 21, 1959.
