Important results have been achieved in the high-level meetings with Türkiye, Georgia, and Russia this year, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, said at the ministry's year-end press conference held on December 28, Report informs.
"Although the biased policy of some circles created certain challenges for Azerbaijan's foreign policy, we could overcome them. Our foreign policy has been rich in terms of content. The policy conducted under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev is aimed at ensuring the national interests of our state. In 2023, Azerbaijan restored its sovereignty and territorial integrity. During the year, important results were achieved in high-level meetings with Türkiye, Georgia, and Russia."
The minister said that this year the dialogue between Azerbaijan and the European Union continued in various fields, including energy cooperation: "At the same time, Azerbaijan's participation in the Eastern Partnership program was ensured. The meeting of foreign ministers of the Caspian littoral countries has also been held this year. Multifaceted discussions were held at that meeting. It was agreed that the Caspian is a sea of friendship."
