Uzbek expert: Ilham Aliyev's visit to Uzbekistan heralds new chapter in bilateral ties

The visit of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to Uzbekistan signifies a new chapter in the multifaceted cooperation between the two countries, Bakhtiyor Mustafayev, Deputy Director of the Institute for Strategic and Interregional Studies under the President of Uzbekistan, said.

According to Report, speaking at the opening of the event "Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan: New Perspectives for Mutually Beneficial Cooperation" in Baku, Mustafayev emphasized that in a short period, the two nations have elevated their state-level interaction to new heights. "Economic cooperation is successfully developing," he noted.

Mustafayev highlighted that the "green" corridor project connecting Central Asia, Azerbaijan, and Europe is currently in the implementation stage. Moreover, he added that the two countries possess significant potential in the field of renewable energy sources.

"Transport connectivity is also a crucial aspect of the cooperation," Mustafayev said, adding that the South Caucasus is currently undergoing a phase of transformation, and the Central Asian countries, with their rich experience in this sphere, are ready to share their expertise with partners.
