Ingushetian leader plans to visit Azerbaijan

Ingushetia is interested in strengthening cooperation with Azerbaijan, head of the Republic of Ingushetia Yunus-Bek Yevkurov said in an exclusive interview to Report's Russian bureau on the sidelines of the 33rd St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

"We live nearby, therefore, we need to build and strengthen the friendship between our republics. We have a good Azerbaijani diaspora. During the Great Patriotic War, the Azerbaijani division defended the city of Malgobek and all died there.

I plan to visit Azerbaijan this summer. This question is still being agreed. I definitely want to visit your country and discuss some issues, " the politician said.

Yunus-Bek Yevkurov also noted that he wants to see the Azerbaijani artist, whom he promised boots: "In Baku, there is an artist, Ali by name, he walks barefoot along the embankment. I promised him the army boots."
