Ilham Aliyev phones UN chief

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev had telephone conversation with Secretary-General of the United Nations António Guterres. Report informs referring to the presidential press service. 
Ilham Aliyev noted that Azerbaijan supports the Secretary-General and the UN's efforts, including multilateral cooperation in combating the COVID-19 pandemic.
I. Aliyev: "Azerbaijan donated $ 10 million to the World Health Organization, and provided humanitarian and financial assistance to over 30 countries."
President stressed that Azerbaijan is ready to contribute to the solution of technical and logistical issues in connection with the special session. UN chief António Guterres, in turn, thanked President Ilham Aliyev for the phone call. He noted that the UN is ready to cooperate with Azerbaijan in resolving technical and logistical issues.
