Ilham Aliyev: Azerbaijan can potentially export more than 20 bcm of gas to Europe

Potentially, Azerbaijan can export more than 20 billion cubic meters of gas to Europe, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said in an interview with the Italian newspaper Il Sole 24 Ore's reporter Roberto Bongiorni on September 2 in the city of Cernobbio, Report informs.

"As for our reserves, I spoke about this at the conference. The volume of our proven reserves is at least 2.6 trillion cubic meters of gas. Potentially, we can export more than 20 billion cubic meters of gas to Europe.

However, we must understand that Europe is not the only market for us. We supply the same volume of gas to Turkiye as we supply to Italy. We also export gas to Georgia. Our total export this year will be 22-23 billion cubic meters," the head of state said.
