Hulusi Akar: 'It is only possible to ensure our countries' security by having strong army'

“In the face of growing threats and dangers around the world, the security of our countries and nation can only be ensured by having a strong army,” Turkish National Defense Minister Hulusi Akar said at the awarding ceremony following the Fraternal Fist military drills held in Azerbaijan, Report informs.

According to Akar, joint exercises are also of particular importance in terms of sharing experience and improving professionalism.

Emphasizing that Turkey is always close to Azerbaijan, ready to unite into a single fist against any threats and provocations, Hulusi Akar noted that Azerbaijan’s friends are Turkiye’s friends, and Azerbaijan’s enemies are Turkiye’s enemies.
