Georgian Prime Minister: “Traditional friendly and neighborly relations with Azerbaijan deepen”

Tbilisi. 18 December. REPORT.AZ/ "Georgia's traditionally friendly and neighborly relations with Turkey and Azerbaijan are gradually deepening," Prime Minister of Georgia Mamuka Bakhtadze said.

Report's local bureau said he spoke at a traditional annual conference of heads of diplomatic missions and consulates of Georgia held in Tbilisi.

He stressed the success of the visits paid to neighboring Azerbaijan and Armenia this year.

The prime minister said that Georgia is moving steadfastly towards the integration with the European Union and the Euro-Atlantic alliance and this testifies to the professionalism of Georgian diplomacy: "The high professionalism and patriotism of Georgian diplomacy is a real guarantee that the Georgian state will continue to defend its interests in the international arena. I am grateful to you for the tireless work you have done to protect the interests of our homeland."

Bakhtadze stressed that Georgian diplomats contributed greatly to the strengthening of Georgia's sovereignty and the peaceful restoration of territorial integrity.
