​French Ambassador: Decision not to extend mandate of Alexis Chahtahtinsky taken collectively by OSCE Secretariat

Baku. 3 June. REPORT.AZ/ The decision not to extend mandate of the OSCE Project Coordinator in Baku Alexis Chahtahtinsky has been taken collectively both by OSCE Secretariat, Serbian presidency and the French government, Report was told by the  Ambassador of France to Azerbaijan Pascal Meunier.

"As the matter of fact, Alexis Chahtahtinsky is working for and paid by the OSCE Secretariat. So the decision not to extend mandate has been taken collectively both by the Secretary of the OSCE, Serbian presidency and by the French government","- the Ambassador of France said.

According to OSCE  press service, mandate of the OSCE Project Coordinator in Baku Alexis Chahtahtinsky expired on 31 May.

"According to the OSCE, the French government, (Alexis Chahtahtinsky is a citizen of France) did not support the extension of Alexis Chahtahtinsky's mandate", the press service of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry commented on  the fact.
