Baku. 28 June. REPORT.AZ/ "I consider that the meeting held in Baku today will be very useful in terms of resolving the conflict in Afghanistan."
Report informs, former ambassador of Afghanistan to Pakistan during the Taliban leadership Abdul Salam Zaeef said to journalists participating at the meeting of the International Contact Group on Afghanistan in Baku.
He said that the current meeting will focus on a number of issues, including the next stage of the peace talks between the Taliban and the Afghan government: "At the same time, the elections in Afghanistan and military operations will be discussed. Exchange of views on the next steps concerning peace process with Taliban will be held at the last session”.
A. Zaeef said that he came to Baku for the first time and believed Afghanistan would have a good future.
