FMs of Azerbaijan and Iraq hold consular consultations

On March 1, the first consular consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan and Iraq took place in Baku, Report informs referring to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Azerbaijan.

At the consultations, the Azerbaijani delegation was led by the head of the consular department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Emil Safarov, and the Iraqi delegation was led by the head of the consular department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq, Ahmad Ali Amin Al Sadi.

During the consultations, the parties discussed the current state and prospects for the development of cooperation between countries in the consular field, including the signing of new bilateral documents and the possibility of digitalizing consular services.

The delegations reached an agreement to hold regular consultations this year in the city of Baghdad.
