FM: Azerbaijan, Slovakia bound by high level of political dialogue

A high level of political dialogue has been established between Azerbaijan and Slovakia, while economic cooperation, in view of the existing great potential, needs further deepening, Slovak Foreign Minister Ivan Korcok said at a press conference following a meeting with his Azerbaijani counterpart Jeyhun Bayramov, Report informs.

"Cooperation within the EU is also an important factor. So, we hope that Azerbaijan and the EU will soon sign a new comprehensive agreement," the minister said.

He also noted that Azerbaijan plays a very important role in ensuring the energy security of the EU, and, in this regard, he welcomed the completion of the construction of TAP.

Korcok added that during his visit to Baku he had a very productive meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, noting that in particular, they discussed the situation in Karabakh.
