EU welcomes restoration of Shahla Humbatova and Irada Javadova's lawyer activities

Speaking at the meeting with Deputy Foreign Minister Mahmud Mammadquliyev, head of the EU delegation in Azerbaijan, Kestutis Jankauskas has welcomed the restoration of the activities of lawyers Shahla Humbatova and Irada Javadova by the Azerbaijan Bar Association.

Report informs that Jankauskas said they expect that the cases of other lawyers, whose activity was either terminated or suspended, be considered.

The head of the EU Delegation to Azerbaijan said that human rights activists are pillars of the rule of law and play a unique role in protecting democratic values.
